Education
Education is a huge recruiting tool in
obtaining more industry to our state, along with
quality well paying jobs.
I served on Grundy Co. School Board and
raised by actively involved parents. My
mother was a school teacher for over 30 years
and my father served on the Grundy Co School
Board.
I am involved with Dolly Parton's Imagination
Library and the Governor's Books from Birth
Foundation. The difference between a high
school diploma and a college degree is $500,000.
We must improve our high school and college
graduation rates in order to recruit high-tech
jobs for our counties.
Education is a top priority.
President Bush's NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND
program has created unjust burdens on state
and local governments. The program has
not increased our state standings.
Pre-K. It has been proven that
children retain more at an earlier age.
We must reach these children while they are Emphasize your points

Tennessee Lottery/Surplus. We
need to improve our education so that the
GPA does not have to be lowered. This
can be achieved by diverting excess lottery
monies to our Pre-K thru 12 schools.
We must provide safe and environments
for our children.
Health Care
Today's families are faced with the soaring
price of health care. Insurance premiums
continue to rise while the coverage continues to
shrink. We must make health care
affordable and manageable. Health care
should not be a burden to our state. We
must look now to provide extended home health
care and hospice coverage for our aging parents
and ourselves. Tennessee Residents
deserve the choice of staying in their own homes
vs. nursing homes.
Business
As a current member of the Tennessee
Department of Labor Workforce & Development, I
am involved with continual recruitment of
employers for Tennessee.
I am also serving on
the Coffee County Industrial
Board and past member of Franklin County
Industrial Board. I was implemental in
acquiring Nissan and have the knowledge and
experience to get more jobs to our area.
I owned and operated Greeter Building Center
and Greeter Ready Mix along with Greeter
Construction. I understand both sides of
the coin, employer and employee concerns and
issues. It is important that we have
desirable jobs with decent pay and better
benefits.
I sit on the
board of directors of Elk River Public Utility
District. I see firsthand the cost and
concern for the customers. I work
diligently to reduce overhead costs so that
rates will not be increased. I am
constantly researching ways to reduce total cost
for both the customer and ERPUD.
Put my experience to work for you.
Together, we will open new doors.
